Proud to Be Featured in The Cricket Paper: Shining a Light on Men’s Mental Health Through Cricket

News

We’re delighted to share that the 8:56 Foundation has been featured in The Cricket Paper, highlighting the work our community continues to do to support men’s mental health across Norfolk and beyond. The article explores how our charity began, why sport (especially cricket)  has become such a powerful part of our wellbeing pathway, and how initiatives like Wear It Green Weekend are helping to break down stigma and spark conversations that truly matter.

Being recognised by a national publication is a meaningful moment for everyone involved with 8:56. It reflects the strength of the community that has grown around Lee’s memory, the dedication of our volunteers, and the willingness of clubs, players, and supporters to stand with us in raising awareness.

Most importantly, it helps us keep the message alive: talking saves lives.

We’re grateful to The Cricket Paper for helping amplify that message and for shining a spotlight on the role cricket can play in connection, belonging, and support.
