This January, the brilliant team at Moon Gazer Ale together with over 100 pubs across Norfolk and Suffolk, are joining forces with us, the 8:56 Foundation, Norfolk and Waveney Mind and Suffolk Mind to spark genuine conversations about mental health.
Sometimes, all it takes is a simple "You alright?" and asking again to show you truly care. Checking in on a friend, colleague, or loved one can make all the difference. Remember, you're not alone, and neither are they.
Behind every statistic is a real person and a real family.
1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem each year.
In a recent survey, 1 in 13 people said they had attempted suicide.
Men are three times more likely to take their own life than women.
In 2024, over 4,200 men lost their lives to suicide, that's one man every two hours.
Let's change the conversation, break down the stigma, and take time to talk and take time to listen.
Start today, because a simple chat, or checking in on a friend or relative, can save a life. Don't be afraid to ask twice if someone's okay; sometimes, it's the second ask that opens the door to a real conversation.

Moongazer have brewed two special beers – "Time To Talk" and "You Alright?" - each one a prompt to check in on a mate, ask twice, and remind each other, you are not alone.
