We are proud to share that the we will be part of the upcoming Mental Health Awareness Evening, hosted by the Norwich City Fans Social Club on 22 January 2026 at The Gunn Club, Carrow Road
This free community event brings together organisations, support groups, and individuals who are committed to improving mental health and wellbeing across Norfolk. As a foundation built on the belief that talking saves lives, we're honoured to stand alongside others who share the same mission.
Mental health challenges affect people from all walks of life. Events like this create a safe, welcoming space for open conversation, something we champion every day at the 8:56 Foundation.
The evening will feature:
- Guest host Darren Eadie, helping guide conversations and shine a light on the importance of mental wellbeing
- Local support services, including those offering counselling, crisis support, men's mental health groups, and family-focused resources
- Community connection, giving people the chance to meet others, share experiences, and discover practical support options
We're especially proud that the 8:56 Foundation is recognised among the key support groups for men and fathers in Norfolk, using sport and community to reduce loneliness and encourage honest conversation
At the event, we'll be:
- Sharing our story and the work we do to support men's mental health
- Offering information about our groups, programmes, and upcoming initiatives
- Connecting with individuals who may benefit from our support—or who want to help us make a difference
Every conversation matters. Every connection matters, and evenings like this remind us how powerful community can be.
