Time to Talk Football League – Football Supporting Men’s Mental Health in Norfolk
The 8:56 Foundation has partnered with Alive King’s Lynn Community Football to create the Time to Talk Football League - a 6-a-side league that brings football and mental wellbeing together.
Football has always been more than a sport. It gives men connection, friendship, and a sense of belonging. This league builds on those strengths by creating a safe, supportive space where men can enjoy the game while looking after their mental health.
Wellbeing
Every player checks in weekly with their coach and can keep a simple wellbeing log. This small step encourages reflection and helps open the door to conversations that matter.
Support
Alive KLCF coaches and the 8:56 Foundation are there throughout the season. Each team has a trained Wellbeing Champion, and players can access opportunities to train as Mental Health First Aiders. Whether you want to get involved or simply know support is available, help is always close by.
Belonging
Join other men in a friendly, inclusive environment. Enjoy the teamwork, the laughs, and the sense of purpose that football brings.
